These were a unique pair of toes shoes that I carved for a family friend. Mom was the dancer, and on the reverse of these shoes were carvings of Addidas soccer cleats. Just a small symbolic take on where we sometimes draw our inner strength from. The wood is African Orange Padauk, and yes it garnered me a Blue Ribbon in the Novice Division of the Quillceda Carver's Artistry in Wood competition. Next Leap from my Comfort Zone
