Here's the disguised rubber cane tip under the tin.  I'm waiting for what my suggestion of a lead ball shot into the stick looks like.  I offered to shoot the stick myself with a .54 caliber black powder rifle of mine, but Staff Sgt. Wilcox in all of his wisdom thought that his own more careful placement of a .36 caliber ball would be less damaging to the stick than my idea.
