I made this cane as a thank you to my neighbor who served the state of Washington for 26.8 years in the field of law enforcement.  Steve was also a Vietnam Veteran, USMC, and was known to covertly mow our lawn when my Multiple Sclerosis left me unable to do so.  If you asked him he would deny it.  The carvings on the cane are his Everett PD shield, the jacket patch, a speed loader, a depiction of Steve's favorite sidearm the S&W Model 19 .357 Magnum, and a lawn mower.
