This is the most involved cane I have carved to date.  I would guess that I had at least 500 hours in it as I carved each carving about four times, working my way down from an apple log to an apple branch.  I made it for a good friend who is just one of those good people that we meet once in our lives if we are lucky.  We come from different religious backgrounds but this journey had me carving key events in the LDS Church and a very special holiday tradition that Lances family was kind enough to share with our family.
