This was my first walking stick made from Diamond Willow.  As you can see, the gentleman that I made this walking stick for is a very busy man.  I highlighted some of his more notable achievements.  He loved the Classics, was a bird watching fan, he helped keep local hiking trails ready for use, he canoed, was his daughter's Girl Scout Troop leader, and also a prostate cancer survivor.  The turquoise inlay I did, my first, was a tribute to this victory of his.  You might not be able to see it with the picture, but I made little oars for the canoe I made in one of the diamonds of the diamond willow.
