I received a "nondescript" cedar root from my Idaho relatives who thought that "Mike will know what to do with it".  Somebody had been using it as a door stop or a cane or something.  Somebody saved it though!  The minute I saw it I knew it was the head of the Alien from the movie "Alien".  With a little carving, some wood burning, and some hand carved ivory teeth and the famous mouth within a mouth; you get my personal Alien Cane.  The ivory was a gift from family in Alaska.
